Create a Community Post

Community posts let staff share updates, announcements, and media with members inside a private group. You create them from the Groups page in the Posts tab.

Before you start

You must be on the Groups page and select a group before the composer appears. If no group is selected, the interface shows Select a group to view posts.

Write and publish a post

1. Go to the Groups page for your location.
2. Click the Posts tab.
3. Select a group from the list. The header shows the group name and Private group.
4. Click Create post. If the feed is empty, click Create the first post instead.
5. Enter a Title and type your message in the body field labeled Write something...
6. Optional: attach images or paste a YouTube or Vimeo URL in the video embed field.
7. Click Publish.

On success, the dialog closes and you see Post created successfully. The post appears in the group feed immediately.

What happens if it fails

• If the session is not ready, you see Session not ready. Please try again. Reload the page and retry.
• If the API call fails, you see Failed to create post or the specific error message returned by the server.
